Our January training block is designed to give you the best of both worlds:
world-class STOTT PILATES instructor education + a rejuvenating retreat experience.

You’ll attend training 1pm–6pm each day, leaving your mornings free to unwind, explore, and enjoy everything Hawke’s Bay has to offer.

Your Afternoons: Professional Instructor Training

From 1pm–6pm, you’ll dive into the full STOTT PILATES Reformer curriculum with Instructor Trainer Sharon Currie.

This includes:

  • Repertoire

  • Biomechanics + movement principles

  • Cueing + teaching skills

  • Programming + sequencing

  • Progressions + regressions

  • Practice teaching + observation

  • Exam preparation support

You will complete the full in-studio training hours for Level 1 (Essential/Intermediate), learning extensive repertoire and the skills to confidently teach private and group Reformer sessions.

If you choose to continue into Level 2 (Advanced), you’ll further develop your ability to teach strength and endurance-based Reformer classes. After your training, you’ll simply complete your observation, practice teaching, and personal practice hours at your own pace - with no extra post-course costs.

Sharon Currie brings over 32 years of movement, rehabilitation, and Pilates expertise to your Hawke’s Bay training experience.

Sharon Currie is a highly respected STOTT PILATES® Instructor Trainer with more than three decades of experience across the fitness, Pilates, and rehabilitation industries. Based in New Zealand, Sharon is deeply passionate about educating and empowering both new and experienced movement professionals through world-class training.

With a foundation in dance and fitness and a strong understanding of functional movement, Sharon brings anatomical clarity and precision to her teaching. She is fully certified across the complete STOTT PILATES® repertoire — Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, Injuries and Special Populations, Rehab Programming, Fascial Movement, and Total Barre.

As an Instructor Trainer with Merrithew™, Sharon is known for her supportive, clear, and motivating teaching style. She has trained thousands of instructors across New Zealand and Australia, combining technical excellence with real-world application to ensure every student feels confident, capable, and inspired from day one.
